There has been news going around that the Salvation Army is going to be combining the Newfoundland Central and Newfoundland West/Labrador divisons. This means that the DHQ offices in Corner Brook will be closed. Also the Camp Of The Silver Birches will be closed. This decission will not be made until the end of 2003, but this is a very serious issue. Ask yourself, do you or have you ever enjoyed ANY of the events that happen in this divison? Events such as Music Camp? Youth Councils? Youth Together? The March Rig? If you answered yes to any of those questions you should be concerned about this. If the DHQ is closed, the divisional youth secertary's will be in Central, not here on the west coast. This also means no more camps at The Silver Birches, there would be camps at the central camp. But this means that you would not be going to the familar camp of the Silver Birches, and all your friends
