Hey Everybody,
I would like for us to all meet at the church by 3: 30 pm on Friday if possible.(that is those who are located in Stephenville.)
You will need to bring your bedding, toiletries and Bibles as essentials....
NOTE: Make sure you have enough money with you to cover supper on Friday and Saturday and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. We'll probably go out to the grocery store in Corner Brook and pick up enough food for our breakfasts during the weekend and prepare them at the church.(I KNEW YOU WOULD THINK IT A GREAT IDEA!)
Darlene Manualand Captain Anderson will be responsiblefor you during the weekend. They will ensure that your travel is properlyarranged, if you stay with the group. If you choose to stay away fromthe group, you will need to make sure you have transpo to the GameCenter.
I will bring your confirmation sheet to the YC registration desk at the Canada Games Centre Annex, as well as a list of people from your group who are diabetic, epileptic, has food allergies or other health concerns.
Therefore, if you have any medical needs which need to be pointed out, please advise me as soon as possible.
Registration is from 3 - 6 PM for group leaders ONLY. There will be a recreation table in the Annex during registration with options for your group during the free time Saturday afternoon.
Please remember remind your youth of the following things:
* There will be skating during the recreation time at YC on Saturday from 3-5pm, so if your youth are interested they need to bring skates. No skates will be provided.
* To bring an item for the Food Bank Contest. Bringing an item will make them eligible for prizes that will be drawn during YC2003. See the poster in your YC kit.
* No FRS radios are to be used in the Canada Games Centre. Please put cell phones on vibrate mode, and have them turned off during the sessions.
* Check out this years YC product at our website: www.ycnewfoundland.org.
* If a wristband is broken, there will be a $5 fee to replace it. If a wristband is lost, the fee will be determined by how much time is left of the event. For example, if a youth loses their wristband Friday night, they will be charged $79
* Please continue to pray for YC2003 and ask others to pray for it during the YC weekend.
We will sort out who travels with who, when we arrive at the church. It really doesn't matter as long as we all get there.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU BRING WARM CLOTHING AND WARM BEDDING! THANK YOU!
I AM VERY MUCH LOOKING FORWARD TO SPENDING THIS WEEKEND WITH YOU AND PRAY WE WILL ALL COME AWAY DEEPER IN OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD AND EACH OTHER.
YOUR FRIEND AND PASTOR
CAPTAIN"
